Now a full-time social media strategist, Abeer Acero recently graced the maiden issue of Novice Magazine, an art magazine based in the Philippines founded by young creatives who make waves in the field of art and literature.

“It was their first-ever issue, and I was the cover girl,” she says. “It feels good to be a part of a community in our own country that helps raise voices among the Filipino youth.”

An influential blogger in the Middle East who stands out as unique in the social media space, she hopes people would remember her as “the girl who reads” or “the book blogger” in the UAE blogging community.

Encouraging fellow Filipinos to step up and realize what makes them special, she remarks, “Filipinos are known as creative people, locally and globally.  Each one of us should know our value – because it’s easy to feel little when you’re out there. I hope every Filipino could raise their voice and be heard.”
