EXPLORE THE CITIES BEST AL FRESCO SHOPPING SPOTS

For those looking for a district with heritage, Al Seef is Dubai’s waterfront destination that sits on the shores of Dubai Creek that offers contemporary twists on local culture. Connected to one of the city’s cultural hotspots, its banks pay homage to Emirati heritage with narrow sikkas (alleys), and sand-coloured buildings with ancient wind towers. With a combination of boutique stores, art galleries, eateries and op-air markets Al Seef is the perfect place for a pleasant stroll while also discovering hidden gems that sell Emirati handicrafts.

Located ten minutes from Downtown Dubai, Dubai Creek Harbour is an iconic waterfront destination that will redefine the future of living in the city. As a new commercial hub, Dubai Creek Harbour has a mixture of retail, cultural and residential spaces. Currently opening in phases, Dubai Creek Harbour offers serene skyline and waterside views as well as relaxing al fresco meals.

City Walk, one of Dubai’s most exciting precincts, is a beautifully designed outdoor space with chic shops and upscale gourmet outlets. This lifestyle destination has something for everyone with its artful combination of shopping and entertainment, as well as family-friendly activities.

Enjoy alfresco shopping with a modern Middle Eastern vibe at Boxpark. An urban lifestyle destination that mixes trendy boutiques, concept dining and lively cafes. With each outlet houses in brightly coloured shipping containers, if shopping at night, visitors can enjoy 1km strip lit up and bathed in colourful neon lights. 

Dubai’s latest beachfront destination, La Mer combines exclusive retail, dining and attractions – ideal for those looking to enjoy the sunshine. For those wanting escapism, La Mer has a cool and quirky vibe with turquoise waters, white sands and funky murals. Catering to every taste and purse, La Mer features over 130 shops, cafes, restaurants and the Laguna Waterpark, which has been a big hit with families.

For those that enjoy the mix of beach and shopping, the The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is a popular promenade where you can shop, dine and stroll by the sea. With everything from fashion, home and handicraft shops, The Walk at JBR features many shopping attractions including a number of international retailers and stalls offering jewellery, food treats and homewares.

Situated on Dubai’s iconic Palm Jumeirah, The Pointe is a retail and entertainment destination boasting more than fifty restaurants and a number of retail stores in addition to the world’s largest dancing fountain, The Palm Fountain.  You can take in the fresh air and stunning sea views, and capture the perfect moment against the backdrop of The Palm Fountain with daily shows taking place every 30 minutes between sunset and midnight.

Escape the hustle and bustle of city life at the The Outlet Village, an outdoor discount shopping mall designed as a Tuscan-style high-end mall. With a variety of brand names and designer goods, along with fashion, The Outlet Village shops are well-stocked with kid’s wear, footwear and sportswear.

Global Village has extended its current season until May 7 2022. Visitors can explore 26 pavilions with an impressive 3,500 displays from countries including India, Egypt, China and Spain. Guests can purchase traditional handicrafts, tune into a daily line-up of live entertainment, sample cuisine from over 200 eateries, or opt to experience thrilling rides at the large funfair.
