Thoughtleader – Ben Lebig Jr.
Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy Advocate
Ben Lebig Jr. is a source of empowerment for many in the local community, equipping fellow Filipinos with financial and entrepreneurial knowledge. A financial analyst at corporate giant Chevron, and the Founder of KD AgriVenture Inc in the Philippines, Ben is considered an invaluable resource by the POLO OWWA in Dubai, assisting in the Post Arrival Orientation by delivering a segment on Financial Literacy. He has also aligned with Labor Attaché Felicitas Bay, a fellow advocate, to introduce entrepreneurship into the orientation so that newly-arrived Filipinos can start thinking of potential business ventures, even as new expats.
Ben has also played the role of mentor for the intensive Philippine Business Council Fellowship Program, educating Filipinos on business development and startup creation. For the Ateneo LSE program, he has facilitated workshops on business plan development and the financial aspects of startups. “I am fortunate to have numerous platforms to drive this advocacy,” he says.
“My hope is that one day, in hindsight someone would remember that there was a Filipino expat who promoted collaboration among various Filipino groups, and at the same time, chose to use his business finance skills to encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to take that big leap and to put their business finances in order,” he says.
