In his 18-year career, Christian Vasquez who is currently Project Architect and Business Development Executive at National Engineering Bureau has worked on hundreds of projects, from retail shops and housing projects to large scale towers, resorts, hotels, and master-planned developments. He has also worked on the Marina 101, which, at 425m is the second tallest building in the UAE in its completion in 2017, and was also involved in the Flame Tower of Carlos Ott, Intercontinental Fujairah Hotel and Resort, Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina and Hilton Double Tree JBR.

A dynamic member of the local architecture fraternity, Christian is the first UAE Country Representative and MENA Region Representative at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) – an international body which is the leading resource for professionals in the industry. He is the first Filipino Board Director at the American Institute of Architects Middle East Chapter and became the President of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP 124) Dubai chapter in 2018. He leads the organization in advancing the profession, with the support of over 500 members.

“I have been mandated to oversee the overall development and welfare of Filipino architects here in Dubai,” he says. “And I’m happy to be able to contribute to the uplifting of our architects in the global arena.”
