Director of Marketing and Communications at the Hilton Doha, Emille Artigas has been a true asset to the hotel group having worked with them for over 14 years – with 12 being in the Gulf region alone. Opening an extensive range of hotels throughout the span of her career – from beach resorts to business boutiques – including the world-renowned five-star franchise Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, Emille has racked up an impressive body of awards.

She was named the Circle of Excellence’s Marketing Person of the Year – beating out professionals from Hilton chains worldwide in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.  She was also a finalist for Hotelier Middle East’s Marketing Person of the Year and received awards for the best use of social media in the region for six consecutive years (2010 to 2016). Moreover, Emille is a ‘Woman in Leadership’ trainer for the Hilton – coaching female staff member within the region. Getting to where she is today was no easy feat.

Apart from her efforts in marketing, Emille is also a keen advocate for environmental preservation. Recently, she was awarded as one of the top 10 international winners for the Hilton Thrive Sabbatical Initiative in 2018 – an industry-leading program that provides professionals four weeks of paid leave to pursue a passion. Seizing the opportunity to do good, Emille established an underwater clean-up campaign to survey the region’s oceans and protect them from further pollution.
