Jennifer Gonzales
Community Volunteer
Former public servant Jennifer Gonzales, who had worked for five Philippine Presidents, ending her government career with the rank of Undersecretary at the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), has applied much of her expertise supporting many initiatives of benefit to the Filipino community in the emirates.
As a counselor who has proven to be an invaluable resource for UAE kababayans, she has initiated training for Filipino community leaders, as well as for the staff of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), and the Assistance to Nationals Section of the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. An enthusiastic community volunteer, she is also involved in a book donation project for the youth, an adopt-a-school program, livelihood projects for victims of calamities, among other undertakings.
Working for the United International Private School in Dubai for the last 10 years, Jenny plans to focus much of her energy in the future to providing quality and meaningful programs and services to the Filipino youth not only in the UAE but also in other countries, via her involvement with the youth forums in collaboration with UNESCO, whilst continuing to provide intensive counseling to POLO wards and those who are underprivileged and underserved.
