Entrepreneur

A good heart is synonymous with the Filipino spirit. Maria Teresa Sales Al Ansari, however, has combined that trait with the power of entrepreneurship to leave a profound impact on thousands. In believing that education is the most valuable asset any child can have, she established the Far Eastern Private School (FEPS) in 2001. In its 18-year run, the school has expanded across two emirates and has become recognized as one of the pioneering Filipino academic institutions in the country.

“It has always been my dream to continue providing the Filipino community with a high-quality education at an affordable cost for our future leaders of tomorrow,” she says.

Among her biggest engagements with the community, was extending the school’s outreach by organizing the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) at the Coca Cola Arena in October 2019.  The event was attended by over 13,000 Filipinos.  She shares, “I am proud to be able to provide opportunities for the students, faculty, and parents of Far Eastern Private School to play the sport they love.”

She adds that Filipinos are extremely diverse and professional in any work setting. “To really elevate that, we must continue pushing our limits and give ourselves that competitive edge as a globally-oriented force,” she says.
