Nila Bandigan – Illustrado 300 Most Influential Filipinos in the Gulf

Nila Bandigan

Entrepreneur & Philanthropist

Woman of substance, philanthropist, and kindness champion Leonila Bandigan’s heart lies within the pursuit of the greater good. Growing up, she was imbued by her family, particularly her mother with positivity and good moral values, hence the desire to help the unfortunate, and assist others in need has always been second nature to her. A very successful entrepreneur who, together with her husband and children, own and manage a chain of bakeries around the country, as well as a garage in Abu Dhabi, she is very humble and is reluctant to talk about her achievements.  She is however, one of the most active community volunteers within Abu Dhabi’s church community, running their canteen and providing resources – where all income goes to the parish and the needy.

She also sponsors the education, food, and clothing of underprivileged children in the Philippines. To date, she has sent over 100 kids to the prestigious Don Bosco schools in Cebu, Ilo-Ilo and Davao. Through her constant effort to improve the lives of the less fortunate, Nila has left a lasting impact through the many souls she has provided for, through her tireless work and dedication. Doing acts of kindness will always be a big part of her life and something she urges other people to exercise without reservation.  “Be generous to everyone, whether you know them or not, because there is somebody above who will reward you,” she says.
