Joshua Corpuz does conceptual art and illustration for a living. He says, “I’ve been drawing since I was a kid, inspired by video games like the Final Fantasy series and Legend of Mana and anime like Digimon and Shaman King.Getting to work for big companies is fun and all, but getting to meet and learn from all the people that I look up to has got to be #1 in my highlight list.”
I celebrate the uniqueness of my Philippine heritage and I believe that art is not a self-indulgent vocation but a way to educate people. When I design, I infuse narrative about the rich heritage of Philippine culture. I want to open the world’s perception of who Filipinos are and what we are capable of.
Visual artist Cholo Juan grew up in a family of artists and found great passion for art, music, film, and almost everything creative. He officially started his career when he joined the artist collective Brownmonkeys back in 2009. Cholo’s work can be viewed at FN Designs – Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz Dubai. He is also planning for his solo art exhibition next year.
Filipino underground scene pioneer Cromwell Ojeda is the founder of Blacksheep Production – a collective of Filipino artists in Dubai. A multi-disciplinary artist, Cromwell is a graphic artist by day, and a musician by night, spinning stories through ambient sounds.

Not in her wildest dreams, Fe Ging Ging Hyde would admit, and she herself was overwhelmed to bag the Best Actress title at the 34thGawadUrian, the prestigious award-giving body in the Philippines for films.
Kevin Murphy has carved a name for himself as one of Dubai’s most electrifying performers. He also happens to be one of the very few Filipinos with songs that ranked in the iTunes top 10, with “Fabric,” a collaboration with UAE-based EDM superstars Hollaphonics peaking at no. 4 in 2014.
Darwin Guevarra had tough times in breaking through Dubai’s competitive arts circle.
