Filipino Community: A Filipino-Style Noche Buena Spread in Abu Dhabi

Philippine Ambassador to the UAE H.E. Ambassador Hjayceeelyn M. Quintana hosted a Filipino-style Noche Buena at her residence on the 17^th December 2018.

The event held for an intimate group including Emirati-Filipino Ali AlBlooshi, meant to relive the revered Filipino tradition of the Noche Buena – a time when families and friends get together for dinner on the night before Christmas.

The sumptuous table, decorated with Christmas ornaments from the Philippines, featured a traditional spread of Filipino holiday favorites including, almondigas, embutido, fresh lumpia, lengua estofado, and roasted chicken. Desserts include bibingka, fruit salad, turon, biko with latik, macaroni salad, and Filipino-style spaghetti, while popular beverages such as tsokolate, soda, and fruit juices accompanied the feast.
